About the Australasian Society for the Study of Intellectual Disability (ASSID)

ASSID is a not for profit Australasian organization that provides a forum for those who have a personal or occupational association with people with an intellectual disability.

ASSID publishes a highly regarded international journal, the Journal of Intellectual and Developmental Disability, as well as an Australasian magazine and state newsletters.

ASSID also facilitates communication between members via conferences, symposia, workshops, and lecture tours.
