--bridge across the red river - Hanoi

From the upper story of my Hanoi hotel, I could see the massive grey structure of this steel bridge. It was about a kilometer long and crossed the Red River. It was bombed repeatedly during the Vietnam War or "the American War", as the Vietnamese prefer to call it. But it was quickly repaired each time. The structure is full of scars and now only supports railway, bicycle and pedestrian traffic. back to a Hanoi street scene?		.
