AniFest 2007
6th Annual International Festival of Animated Films 2007
Trebon, Czech Republic

AniFest’s aim is to annually showcase the very best in global film animation and to present the wide range of opportunities that animation offers, as well as new technology, subjects and procedures in this field. The organiser of the festival is the Prague company, Corona, with the cooperation of partners from Slovakia and Austria. The host is the south Bohemian town of T?ebo?. AniFest is a member of the European Coordination of Film Festivals and provides an important competition screening of film animation not only in the Czech Republic but throughout central Europe.

Selection decision: 16-25 February 2007
Screening copy: 13 April 2007
Festival dates: 3-9 May 2007

- Work made on or after 1st January 2005
- Work not previously competed in any AniFest Festival
- One Entry Form for each work
- Copy of work DVD or VHS (PAL or NTSC)
- Director’s biography and filmography in Czech or English;
- Photograph of the director in printable resolution (300 dpi at least);
- 3 production stills from the film in printable resolution (300 dpi at least)
- A brief synopsis of 50 to 500 characters in Czech or English
- Dialogue sheets of the film in the original language and in English translation.

Prix Ars Electronica
The Prix Ars Electronica - International Competition for Cyberarts is being conducted for the 21st time in 2007. As always, the aim is to continually keep the Prix Ars Electronica updated in line with leading-edge developments in the dynamic field of cyberarts.

A Golden Nica, two Awards of Distinction (cash prizes) and up to 12 Honorary Mentions will be awarded in the Computeranimation /Film/Visual Effects category in 2007.

The "Computer Animation / Film/Visual Effects" category has been part of the Prix Ars Electronica since its very inception. It recognizes excellence in independent work in the arts and sciences as well as in high-end commercial productions in the film, advertising and entertainment industries. In this category, artistic originality counts just as much as masterful technical achievement.

This category of the Prix Ars Electronica is open to works of 2D or 3D computer animation, digital short films and narratives, character animation, abstract CG animation, scientific visualizations, commercials, music videos, visual effects, CG for the creative manipulation or enhancement of live action scenes, real-time CG, game cutscenes, machinima, generative visuals, etc.
