SURFRIDERS Spew List - 1998

Hurl, spew, chuck, chunder, vomit, throw up, throw chunks, puke, barf... So many ways of expressing the same inevitable concequence.

And what do you win if you are number one on the SurfRiders Spew List for 1998? Why a six-pack of your favorite beer and a funnel to enjoy it with! Oh, and a bucket for the afterthoughts.

We were thinking it was going to be a slow year this year on the spew front. With no reported casualties on the pub crawl (very dissapointed) and only a few on at Torquay. But all is not lost, with a solid effort on the part of Peter Halasz he made up for the rest of you sorry lot. More on that later...

TORQUAY:

1 - Dave Kenyon's Mate (Nick) - Out of his tent, but on his bag
1 - Unknown American - Spew of the trip... A huge spinning spew making an arc about a metre radius, very impressive. - If you read this, EMail me and tell me your name... I forgot it - argh.
2 - Matt Brown - Spewed once on the ground, then another while he was sitting in Mick's car... lucky MOST of it went out the window.
1 - Cam McAllister - Offshore Festival - After spewing his guts out, everyone thought he was a write-off... not so, in the surfriders tradition, not even a Herclean Spew can nock Cam down for the count.
2 - Gavin Bufton - Offshore Festival - After one too many 'ol Gav spews twice behind the Big Green Tent.
3? - Mick Paroissien - Torquay(1), Sida's Party(1), Off Shore(1). (Is this correct Mick?)
16 - Peter Halasz - Offshore Festival - Yes, 16 spews!!! This must be a medical record. Nothing to drink the whole weekend sent him into a drinking frenzy, matching drinks one on one with his mate Nathan in the pub at Apollo Bay. Not too bad, only one catch: He'd never drunk before. Well, after jugs and glasses of just about every mixed drink they had, Peter's stomach and liver had had enough. Spewing twice before he got out of the pub, 3 times at the tent site that night, 2 more into the toilet before the one in the shower. 1 while everyone was eating breakfast, and then the rest on the Great Ocean Road, what seemed every 10 minutes on the way home.
