PUB NIGHTS:Every Friday night at Oxford Hotel - 5:30pm onwards
Every Friday night we meet at the Oxford Hotel for a few beers and a discussion about upcoming trips, competitions and social events (pubcrawls, BBQ's, parties etc).
Everyone is welcome to drop by and have a chat. If you havn't joined up yet, this is a great time to do that too.

PUB CRAWL - Thursday 3rd June - 5:30pm at the Oxford Scholar

Starts: Oxford Hotel (Swanston St)
6:00pm - Leave Oxford at 6:30pm and stay 45min at each pub.

Route: Oxford, Stork,(Quick bite to eat at maccas), Public Bar, (a few pubs here), Moosehead, PA's, Clyde, Lemon Tree, Metro/Goo.

IMAX MOVIE - PART II - Some Time before the end of June -
If you thought the Extreme IMAX movie was crap (Captain?!?!?!) then you'll think this one is better - if you thought Extreme was good, this is great!

Some time before the end of June, we will be having another epic Windwanker / Waxhead movie festival. Complete with a barage of popcorn blocking the screen and in your undies. Don't miss out!

IMAX Extreme Movie:Friday 30th April - Meet at Oxford Hotel BEFORE 7pm
Come along and see one of the best IMAX movies of all time. Surfing, Windsurfing, snowboarding and other Extreme sports on the Huge IMAX screen.
Meet us at (where else!) The Oxford Scholar Hotel opposite RMIT on Swanston Street BEFORE 7pm to get tickets. If you are late and do not call/email us you'll probably miss out on getting a ticket as they sell out quickly.
Free popcorn passes along with half price movie tickets are available!

TAFE FESTIVAL DAY:Wednesday 17th, February - Alleyway beside Bldg 56/57 next to Cardigan St.

One of the best days at RMIT you can hope for with bands, beer, activities and all clubs out in force. Starting from 12-noon the bands kick off and the beer flows all afternoon. This is your time to sign up to the Surfriders Club, find out about our legendary first semester pub crawl and sign up to our first learn to surf trip to Torquay. Pick up a flyer, and come along to the pub crawl.

Each campus has their own festival day, so keep an eye out around campus. I'll put the dates here when I know them, and hopefully we'll be able to send some people to each campus' festival/clubs day.

PUB CRAWL:Thursday 11, March -Oxford Hotel 5:30pm

The Thursday after Orientation Week (above), all new and returning Surfriders Members are invited to our 4th epic first semester Pub Crawl. Last year nearly all (over 80) of our members showed up at the Oxford for the start of the pub crawl. Along the way we enveloped a few other pub crawls to end up with well over 100 people tramping northward from the City Centre.

This year's route will follow the tried and true beat: (Roughly 30mins at each pub)
Oxford Hotel - 5:30 to 6:30pm : Opposite RMIT on Swanston Street. Pay for your membership and the first trip/lessons.
Mac's Hotel : Head north, turn left on Franklin Street. On the right, half way down the block.
The Stork Hotel : Turn right on Elizabeth, past Maccas and it's on the right hand corner.
Public Bar : Head north on Elizabeth St. and turn left and then cross Victoria Pde. On the right a block up Vic Pde.
Art House : Go up Elizabeth Street a block and it's on the right. (Cnr Queensberry Street)
Queensberry Hotel : Go East (right) on Queensberry two blocks and it's on the right (Cnr Swanston St).
Canada/Moosehead Hotel : Go North on Swanston (follow trams up hill) two blocks, down street opp. fountain.
Prince Alfred's : Go across the park/fountain and up the road on the other side. Opposite Melb. Uni.
The Clyde : Go East (Right) along Melb. Uni and then north up Swanston St. Follow the tram lines around the corner.

Anyone wanting to party on until the wee 'ours of the morning can grab some Metro/Goo passes and head back off into the city to The Metro Nightclub on (East End) Bourke Street by the Parliament House. They're open until 7am.

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING: Wednesday, Meeting Room 1 - Building 12 - 12:30-1:30pm

Here's your chance to see what we're doing for the rest of the year, vote in new members and have a say in what we do.
Interested in helping out? Everything from running a competition or trip, recruiting new members, getting sponsors, buying food and cooking, helping with parties and BBQ's.... the list goes on.

This is the best way to make new friends and to be in on more trips and parties than you've had before! To make this a good club each year, we need more and more people to help. This is you're club, so chip in to make it what YOU want!

BEACH PARTY: 24TH MARCH - Venue to be announced.

Last year's beach party had over 800 people attend. This year's party will be held at a night club in Melbourne somewhere. As it is a Beach Party theme, everyone is to dress up in their favorite beach gear. Whatever you like! Be creative. All proceeds go to helping RMIT students attend the Intervarsity Games this year in Perth in December.
