3 Torquay Right: Point/Beach breaks: Sand/Reef: Low-High: .5-2mt: N-W: Mod. *A good place to improve your skills. Has great variety. On its day this wave can be spooky Good fun performance wave for all standards (Good for the Ego)
4 Jan Juc Beach breaks: Sand: Low-Mid: .5-1.5mt: N-NW: Mod. *Usually crowded but not a hassle and can be surfed on small swells. On its day this wave can be spooky Good fun performance wave for all standards (Good for the Ego)
5 Bird Rock Right: Reef: Low: 1-1.5mt: N-NW: Light. *Hollow wave with an evil reef just below the surface. Very intense crowd, inexperienced surfers will find it hard. Heavy wave, be careful & respect the power Powerful, quality wave for the experienced surfers only (Surf with an Attitude!)
6 Winki Pop Right: Point: Low-Mid: 1-4mt: NW: Mod. *World class freight train right hander, expect a large crowd. Long, hard paddle. Heavy wave, be careful & respect the power Good fun performance wave for all standards (Good for the Ego)
7 Bells Beach Right: Reef/Point: Low-High: .5-6mt: NW: Mod. *Bells can be ridden on any tide during any swell with almost any wind. A good place for a contest perhaps? Heavy wave, be careful & respect the power Powerful, quality wave for the experienced surfers only (Surf with an Attitude!)
8 Anglesea Beach breaks: Sand: Low-High: .5-1.5mt: NW-SW: Mod. *Good beginners area, Pt Roadknight is an easy right point. Beginners Paradise Beginners, Mal's, Waveplay (A Paradise for the Wimp)
9 Cathedral Rock Right: Point: Reef: Low-Mid: 1-4mt: W: Ligh-Mod. *Great option if Bells is too big for your taste or is too choppy. On its day this wave can be spooky Good fun performance wave for all standards (Good for the Ego)
10 Lorne Right: Point: Reef: Low: .5-2mt: SW: Mod-Strong. *Long ride, and some fun sections however it needs a big SE swell and is always crowded. Heavy wave, be careful & respect the power Good fun performance wave for all standards (Good for the Ego)
11 Lorne to Cape Otway *Multitude of great waves such as Kennett and Wye Rivers and the deep ocean power of the reefs just ouside Apollo Bay. Have a good look around. Varys Varys
